The University’s newly established civil engineering area, is part of the agricultural and environmental faculty and it addresses regional and global needs in sustainable civil infrastructure and digital construction.
The IPW 2025 will be held in the at the University of Rostock’s main building facilities located in the heart of the city, including the Aula, the Professorium and the Main Auditorium of the Insitute of Philosophy.
Arrival:
Arrival by public transportation
Take public transportation to the centrally located Rostock main station. From there, streetcar lines 5 and 6 run every 7 minutes to the Lange Straße stop (5 stops, approx. 6 minutes journey time). From there, please walk west on “Lange Straße” in the direction of “Pädagogienstraße” and then turn left into “Pädagogienstraße”. In approx. 3 minutes (250 m) you will reach the Universitätsplatz. Arrival by car
The quickest way to reach Universitätsplatz by car is via the A20, exit 15-Rostock-Südstadt. Take the exit towards Rostock and turn into Rostocker Straße (L132). Follow Rostocker Straße (L132) for approx. 7 km and then Nobelstraße in Rostock. At the end of Nobelstraße, turn right into Südring. Follow Am Vögenteich for approx. 1.3 km and then turn right into August-Bebel-Straße. After approx. 700 m, turn left into Hermannstraße and then continue straight ahead into “Schwaansche Straße”. After approx. 200 m, turn left onto Universitätsplatz.
